This newly build walkway is a big asset to Kirstenbosch and is named “The Boomslang” as it has been inspired by a snake skeleton.
With this walkway you can experience a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains, garden and the Cape flats as it takes you from the bottom of the forest into the trees. The slender walkway is 130 m long with wider viewpoints and take you up to 12 m above the ground.
Like a snake’s movements this walkway curves and curls.
You are also permitted to explore “The Boomslang” when paying the garden fee, thus there are no additional costs involved.
This is a great outing for the whole family!
