Here at Rusthuiz we believe in creating a relaxed, yet elegant environment and the Rusthuiz Team will ensure that every demand is met efficiently and with a smile. We are proud to present our team to you:
René and Hendri Taylor first came to Stellenbosch as students, fell in love in the The Town of Oaks and never left again. Hendri is an entrepreneur at heart and an established businessman. He convinced René to join the world of Self-employment. On 01 April 2000 they took over Rusthuiz Guest House, which at the time has been an operating Guest House for two years.
Then came the life-altering moment in October 2002 when their daughter, Cara, was born. What joy she brought to her parents. January 2005 was yet another momentous occasion when their son, Julian, was born. Now Rusthuiz is a buzz with kids filling the house with laughter. Recently Nina, the adorable Beagle, joined the family. Nina must be the world’s friendliest dog and will forever stay a puppy at heart.
Stellenbosch has been their home for more than two decades and there is no place this energetic family would rather live.
René on life in Stellenbosch:
“It is wonderful to live and work in a vibrant and exciting town like this. Having Rusthuiz enables me to enjoy interacting with my guests and being with my children and enjoying them while they are still growing up.
After all this time, I am still in love with Stellenbosch. I am reminded of that every time that I go running in the mountain, taking a bike ride in Jonkershoek or just having coffee in town under the Oak trees with my girlfriends.”
